  2. Abdul lives 2 ½ miles from school. Juan lives on the same street 1 ¾ miles from school. How far apart do the boys live?
  3. If a dart board has three concentric circles, with the bulls-eye worth 10 points, next circle worth 5 points, and the outer circle with 1 point, how many different total scores could you make if you hit the dart board with three darts?
  4. The Fun Toy Store sells only wagons and bicycles. On a particular day, it sold 12 items and a total of 32 wheels. How many wagons and how many bicycles were sold that day?
  5. Pick a number, triple it, add 3, double the result, subtract 6 and divide by 3. Sue’s answer was 12. What was her beginning number?
  6. Four married couples belong to a poker club. The wives names are Kitty, Sarah, Josie, and Annie. Their husbands are David, Will, Gus, and Floyd. Decide who is married to whom based on the following conditions:
    • a.) Will is Josie’s brother.
    • b.) Josie and Floyd dated some, but then Floyd met his present wife.
    • c.) Kitty is married to Gus.
    • d.) Annie has two brothers.
    • e.) Annie’s husband is an only child.
