Architecture history

Past cultures from around the world utilized architecture to create a variety of structures facilitating the diverse needs of their communities. These structures typically come in two generic forms, masses and spaces, and ultimately cater to distinct functions, festivals, rituals, etc. Identify 2-3 different buildings from different cultures and discuss whether they are a mass or a space, or a hybrid of the two, and discuss why society chose to erect the structure. Be sure to analyze why a culture would choose to construct a mass over a space, the technological developments that furthered their development, and what the different forms cater to
