Assignment:
Read the article, From Risk to Resilience: Learning to Deal With Disruption, by Fiksel, Polyviou, Croxton and Pettit. In this article the authors discuss how companies should make supply disruption a learning opportunity. They believe this opportunity will assist companies in identifying their supply chain vulnerabilities with the capability of strengthening. Is this possible? If so, how can companies cultivate an environment that will allow for learning and build a resistance to disruptions? try and focus on the objective of how companies deal with disruption.
Write a three-page case analysis by providing a summary of the reading along with a critical evaluation (the problem, methods, and findings), your opinion of the findings (do you agree or disagree why?) and the contribution of knowledge to the field.

I have approximately 20 years in the field and have a comprehensive business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency management pogessional experience in the financial services industry. I hold CEM, CBCP, and CDRE certifications, the CEM, Certified Emergency Manager was as difficult to achieve than any certification in the industry, and should be a degree in my opinion. I met this goal in 2014 , one of very few in private sector.
