For this assignment you will select a critical incident/disaster that is ongoing or has occurred within the last week either in the United States or beyond. You will discuss the context (where, when, affected areas/individuals), what type of hazard (manmade; technological; natural); response and management (resources and decisions made). This section of the report has to be factual and supported by citations. Then, you will offer reflections on safety and security issues related to this event from emergency management perspective (you are encouraged to support your views with references). Your PIO report should not exceed 2.5 pages, should be double-spaced and it should contain a cover page with a header, title, your name, course name and professor as well as a references section.
