Survey Research Designs

For this week’s discussion, I would like for each of you to select a current events article pertaining to a topic area you are interested in and design a 10-item questionnaire that could be used to collect data to analyze the issue, trend, or focus of the article. Your questionnaire items may be comprised of any of the types of survey research elements covered in this course (e.g., open-ended questions, close-ended questions, forced choice items, checklists, rating scales).

Please also provide a rationale for your questionnaire items – what is your reason for collecting this specific type of data and your expectations for its value/use, why you chose various survey design elements to collect the different types of data, and how the item content/focus is relevant to the article.
