The purpose of this assignment is to engage in critical analysis of a topic(s) from this current learning module, and to then interact with your peers to enhance further learning. Using your course textbook, please do the following:
- In Ch. 9, socioemotional development in adolescence is explored, including drug/alcohol use, mental illness, and delinquency. Please chose one of those problems as the one you feel can be most damaging to a person. Then, please discuss the research mentioned in the textbook (or outside sources) about the harmful effects of that specific problem.
- Are there spiritual consequences?
- Lastly, how can society reduce the prevalence of drug use, mental illness, and/or delinquency? Are there specific, practical changes that can be made in our society to improve these issues for teens?
