Mapping Jerusalem
Jerusalem is a contested city, claimed by multiple countries and revered by followers of the three major monotheistic faiths in the world. There are sites within the city that are essential to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The city has been the site of tension since the late 1960s, as politics between Israel, Palestine, and other interested parties converge in the city. A great way to learn about these places and get a feel for the diversity of the city is through mapping some sacred sites. You will use Google Earth to make your map, and then you will share your map with me here. https://earth.google.com/web/@0,0,0a,22251752.77375655d,35y,0h,0t,0r a fantastic way to learn about the world, and it’s free!
