For Brockmeier’s option: You should be discussing the full story, which include the phenomenon of silence and the phenomenon of sound. Do not stop short of the return of sound and the end of the story, which extends a couple of sections after sound has fully returned. Any argument about this story should be taking into consideration all of those events, the story’s duration. In an outline, I won’t see all that evidence, but I can often see if you are still stuck on only using the silence as your focus. You absolutely need to consider the full events of the story for your full argument. This adjustment, if needed, will likely require your argument to be extended, and it should fix current repetition/overlap issues.
