During Unit 8, we focused on the dynamics of owning and operating a family business.
In our final week, your final project culminates our learnings throughout this course.

Instructions:
Consider your readings in Chapter 9 of our textbook and all your assignments
throughout this course.

Once you complete your review, please complete the following
Course Project:

1. Complete a 10-slide PowerPoint presentation for the business you selected at
the beginning of this course. Please see the “Requirements Section” for specific
guidance on each slide.

2. Once completed, submit the presentation as an assignment. Then, also upload
your final project to our designated Unit 8 discussion board. This will provide your
fellow students an opportunity to see what you have accomplished and provide
comments and feedback. There is no participation requirement for this
discussion board; however, participation is highly encouraged.

3. Please note that Slide 9 will review your Unit 8 learnings/work. On this slide,
analyze the five rules of thumb for a growing family business. These rules of
thumb were highlighted in your Chapter 9 reading. The speaker note should
address how those rules of thumb can positively impact a family business.
