According to Adichie, when single stories are the only stories that are told about a group of people, a place, or a culture, there is no possibility of a connection as human equals.

Explore what is lost when single stories are all that exist about either a specific group of people, a specific place, OR a specific cultural practice.

Note: You cannot use any of the groups, places, or cultures from Adichies speech. Please develop a unique response.

  • You will write a 3-4 page essay analyzing the concept of the single story and the effects it has on a specific group, place, or culture.
