What are we doing?
In this project, we will create an analysis that considers how a specific video game creates an argument. We will analyze the overall argument made by the game and point out the mechanics of the argument itself by looking at the game as a whole and then moving our focus to one specific moment/cutscene. We will then reflect on our positionality and how that impacts why we find these arguments persuasive/not persuasive. Using Ethos, pathos, logos…
Ultimately, you should be able to talk about the mechanics of creating an argument and be able to point to specific examples. Additionally, you should be able to discuss how your positionality impacts why you find these arguments persuasive (or not).
