Cognitive dissonance (Festinger and Carsmith) Each student will select one of the classic studies from the list of studies in the discussion with this topic name. Another study may be used with instructor permission. (Classic is 20 or more years old and impactful to the field). The presentation may include a skit, videos, debates, or other creative ideas for demonstrating the study. For online courses, the students will submit a PPT presentation to the discussion board so that all students in the class can view the project. In addition to the demonstrations, each group should be prepared to discuss the importance of the study to social psychology and to humans in general, as well as discuss other research that was inspired by these classic studies. You should apply the core values of respect and integrity to explain any ethical implications of the study.
